The story of the Mill goes back to the 18th century when local villagers came to the miller to have their harvest ground. According to records, tt was an active mill all the way until the mid-60s. After the first world war,  part of the old border between Poland and Germany ran between the villages Ciemno and Glisno, right along the river. We found old photographs showing two children standing in front of the border guards on the bridge next to the Mill. Other photographs show how the Mill looked before the war. After world war II the Mill suffered great damages and was rebuilt and run by the state. In the early 90s the building was bought by the current owners and converted into the the guest house that we see today.
